Situation update as of 6 a.m., June 16, 2023
Last night, the russian federation conducted yet another air strike on Ukraine, using 2x Iranian Shahed combat UAVs. All drones were intercepted by the Ukrainian air defense.
During the day of June 15, the enemy launched 5x missile strikes using Kh-101/Kh-555 and Kh-59 cruise missiles. In addition, the invaders launched more than 60x air strikes as well as more than 80x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the attacks have killed and wounded civilians, damaged industrial facilities in Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk oblast), and private residential buildings and administrative infrastructure Kherson oblast.
The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains very high.
The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mar’inka axes, with over 30x combat engagements taking place during the day of June 15.
Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.
Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary launched air strikes on Yanzhulivka, Halahanivka, and Arkhypivka (Chernihiv oblast). Also, the invaders fired mortars and artillery at Karpovychi, Yanzhulivka, Halahanivka (Chernihiv oblast), Vyntorivka, Seredyna-Buda, Rozhkovychi, Dem’yanivka, Baranivka, Fotovyzh, Budivelne, Bilokopytove, Stukalivka, Iskryskivshchyna, Yastrubyne, Basivka (Sumy oblast), Veterynarne, Alisivka, Starytsya, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Bochkove, and Budarky (Kharkiv oblast).
Kup’yans’k axis: the adversary launched an air strike in the vicinities of Vesele and Berestove (Kharkiv oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at Novomlyns’k, Masiutivka, Zapadne, Lyman Pershyi, Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast), and Novoselivs’ke (Luhansk oblast).
Lyman axis: during the day of June 15, the adversary attempted to advance in the vicinities of Stel’makhivka Luhansk oblast and Vyimka, Vesele, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast), to no success. The invaders launched an air strike in the vicinities of Raihorodka, Makiivka (Luhansk oblast), and Sviato-Pokrovske (Donetsk oblast). Stel’makhivka, Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Yampolivka, Tors’ke, Dibrova, Verkhn’okam’yans’ke, Spirne, and Serebryanka (Donetsk oblast) were shelled with artillery.
Bakhmut axis: during the day of June 15, the adversary conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Orikhovo-Vasylivka. The invaders launched air strikes near Bila Hora, Pivnichne, and Maiors’k (Donetsk oblast). Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, Bila Hora, Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk, Katerynivka, and Pivdenne (Donetsk oblast) suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
Avdiivka axis: the adversary launched air strikes in the vicinity of Avdiivka. The invaders fired artillery at the vicinities of Keramik, Orlivka, Avdiivka, Vesele, Semenivka, Vodyane, Sjeverne, Tonen’ke, Pervomais’ke, Yasnobrodivka, Karlivka, Zhelane Pershe, Novokalynove, and Nevel’s’ke (Donetsk oblast).
Mar’inka axis: Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the vicinities of Mar’inka, Krasnohorivka, and Novomykhailivka. The occupants launched air strikes near Novomykhailivka, Velyka Novosilka, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Blahodatne (Donetsk oblast). At the same time, the adversary fired artillery at Krasnohorivka, Mar’inka, Maksymil’yanivka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, and Katerynivka.
Shakhtars’ke axis: the enemy attempted offensive operations towards Novomykhailivka and Vodyane (Donetsk oblast), to no success. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Blahodatne and Zolota Nyva (Donetsk oblast). The invaders shelled the settlements of Blahodatne, Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Novoukrainka, Zolota Nyva, Shakhtars’ke, Velyka Novosilka, and Novyi Komar (Donetsk oblast).
Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes: the adversary stays on the defensive. Russian forces launched an air strike with guided aerial bombs in the vicinity of Kozats’ke (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery at the settlements of Ol’hivs’ke, Chervone, Zatyshshya, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohir’ya, Novoandriivka, Preobrazhenka, Mali Shcherbaky, Kam’yans’ke (Zaporizhzhya oblast), Osokorivka, Mykhailivka, Respublikanets’, Beryslav, Vesele, Kozats’ke, Ol’hivka, Odradokam’yanka, L’vove, Tyahynka, Tokarivka, Inzhenerne, Antonivka, Zelenivka, Stepanivka, Chornobaivka, Kherson, Zymivnyk, Bilozerka, Kizomys (Kherson oblast), and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast).
During the day of June 15, the Ukrainian Air Force launched 13x air strikes on the concentrations of the adversary troops. Also, Ukrainian defenders intercepted 20x Iranian Shahed-131/136 combat UAVs, Orlan-10 tactical UAVs, and 3x more reconnaissance UAVs.
During the day of June 15, the Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 2x command posts, 1x S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, 4x concentrations of troops and military equipment, 3x ammunition depots, and 7x artillery units at their firing positions.
