Situation update as of 6 a.m., June 29, 2023
During the day of June 28, the russian occupiers launched an attack with Iranian Shahed combat UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense destroyed 6x kamikaze drones. In addition, the enemy launched 2x missile and 50x air strikes, and 52x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the attacks caused civilian casualties on top of the destroyed infrastructure.
The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.
The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, and Mar’inka axes, with 40x combat engagements taking place during the day of June 28.
Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.
Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary launched an air strike in the vicinity of Rus’ka Lozova (Kharkiv oblast). The adversary fired mortars and artillery at more than 25x settlements, including Leonivka (Chernihiv oblast), Novovasylivka, Znob-Novhorods’ke, Nova Huta, Vovkivka (Sumy oblast), Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan’, Mali Prokhody, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Bochkove, Nesterne, Kruhle, and Budarky (Kharkiv oblast).
Kup’yans’k axis: more than 20x settlements, including Kolodyazne, Figolivka, Novomlyns’k, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kindrashivka, Kup’yans’k, Masyutivka, Kislivka, Berestov of the Kharkiv Oblast, were shelled by artillery and mortars.
Lyman axis: the adversary conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Rozdolivka. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Zvanivka, and Vyimka (Donetsk oblast). More than 10x settlements, including Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Tors’ke, Verkhn’okam’yans’ke, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast), were shelled with artillery.
Bakhmut axis: the adversary conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, and Bila Hora. Russian forces launched an air strike near New York (Donetsk oblast). About 15x settlements, including Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, and Pivdenne, suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
Avdiivka axis: the enemy attempted offensive operations in the vicinity of Avdiivka and Sjeverne, to no success. At the same time, the invaders launched an air strike in the vicinity of Avdiivka and fired artillery at more than 10x settlements, including Berdychi, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Karlivka, and Pervomais’ke.
Mar’inka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled all adversary attacks in the vicinity of Mar’inka, while the enemy launched an air strike within the settlement. At the same time, the invaders carried out artillery attacks in the vicinities of about 10x settlements, including Mar’inka and Pobjeda (Donetsk oblast).
Shakhtars’ke axis: the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives towards Novomykhailivka. The invaders launched air strikes near Prechystivka and Makarivka (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers shelled more than 20x settlements, including Kostyantynivka, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Vil’ne Pole, Storozheve, Blahodatne, Makarivka, and Rivnopil’ (Donetsk oblast).
Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes: the adversary focuses its main efforts on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops. The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Levadne and Mala Tokmachka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The adversary fired artillery at around than 30x settlements, including Levadne, Ol’hivs’ke, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Charivne (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Mykhailivka, Havrylivka, Odradokam’yanka, Mykolaivka, Ol’hivka, Burhunka, L’vove, Ivanivka, Naddnipryans’ke, Antonivka, Kherson, Komyshany, Dniprovs’ke, Yantarne, Berehove, Tomyna Balka, Sofiivka (Kherson oblast), and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast).
During the day of June 28, Ukrainian Air Force launched 11x air strikes on the concentrations of enemy troops, 5x air strikes on the anti-aircraft missile systems, and 1x on an enemy command post.
The Ukrainian defenders intercepted 1x Su-25 aircraft and 3x operational-tactical level reconnaissance UAVs of the enemy.
During the day of June 28, Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 1x ammunition depot, 11x artillery units at their firing positions, 3x air defense assets, 2x electronic warfare stations, and 1x other important enemy target.
