Situation update as of 6 a.m., June 3, 2023

The russian federation continues to wage its war of aggression and use terror tactics against Ukrainians.

During the day of June 2, the adversary launched 67x air and 17x missile strikes, and conducted 91x MLRS attacks.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on attempts to fully occupy Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts. During the day of June 2, there were 29x combat engagements.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary continues to maintain military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. Russian forces launched air strikes in the vicinity of Ohirtseve (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired mortars and artillery at the settlements of Yanzhulivka, Leonivka, Hrem’yach (Chernihiv oblast), Novovasylivka, Seredyna Buda, Romashkove, Atyns’ke, Bezsalivka, Bilovody, Basivka, Yunakivka, Pokrovka, Novodmytrivka, Velyka Pysarivka (Sumy oblast), Udy, Kozacha Lopan’, Veterynarne, Hoptivka, Pyl’na, Zelene, Verkhnya Pysarivka, Starytsya, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Vovchans’k, Zybyne, Rybalkyne, Budarky, Zemlyanky, Chuhunivka, and Odradne (Kharkiv oblast).

Kup’yans’k axis: during the day of June 2, the adversary conducted unsuccessful offensives near Novoselivs’ke (Luhansk oblast). The adversary fired artillery and mortars at Topoli, Dvorichans’ke, Kam’yanka, Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Kut’kivka, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Kotlyarivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast), and Novoselivs’ke (Luhansk oblast).

Lyman axis: during the day of June 2, the adversary conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Makiivka (Luhansk oblast) and Spirne (Donetsk oblast). The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Ivanivske, and Spirne (Donetsk oblast).

Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Verkhn’okam’yans’ke, Tors’ke, Spirne, and Rozdolivka Donetsk oblast) were shelled with artillery.

Bakhmut axis: the adversary conducted offensive operations towards Ivanivske, to no success. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Bila Hora and Chasiv Yar (Donetsk oblast), as well as a missile strike on Druzhkivka. Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Predtechyne, Bila Hora, and New York (Donetsk oblast) suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

Avdiivka axis: the adversary launched air strikes in the vicinity of Avdiivka. The invaders fired artillery at the settlements of Avdiivka, Pervomais’ke, and Karlivka (Donetsk oblast).

Mar’inka axis: during the day of June 2, the adversary conducted offensive operations near the city of Mar’inka, but Ukrainian defenders repelled all 14x enemy attacks. The adversary suffered major losses in manpower and equipment.

At the same time, the enemy continues to destroy our cities and villages. The invaders launched air strikes on Mar’inka and Katerynivka, fired artillery at Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobjeda, and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast).

Shakhtars’ke axis: the enemy launched air strikes in the vicinity of Prechystivka, shelled the settlements of Vuhledar, Prechystivka, and Novoukrainka.

Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes: the adversary stays on the defensive. The occupant forces launched air strikes in the vicinities of Ol’hivs’ke, Novodanylivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Vesele, Kozats’ke, and Odradokam’yanka (Kherson oblast). The invaders fired artillery at the settlements of Vremivka (Donetsk oblast), Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Bilohir’ya, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Komyshuvakha, Novoandriivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Beryslav, Antonivka (Kherson oblast), the city of Kherson, and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast).

To replenish its casualties, the adversary continues to campaign for military service using various methods in russia. For example, in the city of Zarinsk (Altai Krai), representatives of the penal service are conducting outreach activities among the convicts on parole. The campaign is for them to sign contracts for 3-5 months of military service.

During the day of June 2, Ukrainian Air Force air strikes launched 15x air strikes on the concentrations of troops, as well as 2x air strikes on the anti-aircraft missile systems of the adversary.

During the day of June 2, the Ukrainian defenders intercepted 15x cruise missiles and 17x Shahed-136 combat UAVs of the enemy.

The Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 1x command post, 2x ammunition depots, 2x electronic warfare stations, 1x radar station, and 1x multiple launch rocket system of the enemy.
