During the day of May 5, the adversary launched 8x missile and 49x air strikes, 82x MLRS attacks. The shelling caused civilian casualties, destroyed and damaged private houses and other civilian infrastructure.
The likelihood of further missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.
The adversary continues to focus its main efforts on the offensive operations on Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mar’inka axes. Around 50x attacks of the occupiers were repelled. Bakhmut and Mar’inka remain at the epicenter of the fighting, and Ukrainian defenders are holding the line.
Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.
Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the enemy launched air strikes on Ivanivka, Leonivka, Buchky (Chernihiv oblast), and Znob-Trubchevs’ka (Sumy oblast). The invaders fired mortars and artillery at the settlements of Stara Huta, Baranivka, Tovstodubove, Bachivs’k, Khodyne, Volfyne (Sumy oblast), Chervona Zorya, Udy, Veterynarne, Hraniv, Kozacha Lopan’, Hoptivka, Hlyboke, Luk’yantsi, Neskuchne, and Starytsya (Kharkiv oblast).
Kup’yans’k axis: Bolohivka, Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlyns’k, Dvorichna, Lyman Pershyi, Pishchane, and Stel’makhivka (Kharkiv oblast) were shelled with artillery and mortars.
Lyman axis: the adversary did not conduct any offensive operations. Makiivka (Luhansk oblast), Nevs’ke, Yampolivka, Bilohorivka, Verkhn’okam’yans’ke, and Spirne (Donetsk oblast) came under artillery fire.
Bakhmut axis: the enemy enemy continues offensive operations. Fighting in the city of Bakhmut continues. The occupants made an unsuccessful attempt to advance towards Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, and New York. Vasyukivka, Min’kivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk, Slovyansk, Oleksandro-Shul’tyne, Pivdenne, Toretsk, Pivnichne, and New York (Donetsk oblast), suffered from enemy shelling.
Avdiivka axis: the adversary conducted offensive operations in the vicinity of Avdiivka, to no success. The invaders shelled Orlivka, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, Tonen’ke, Karlivka, Netaylove, and Pervomais’ke (Donetsk oblast).
Mar’inka axis: Ukrainian troops repelled attacks in the vicinity of Mar’inka during the day of May 5. Kurakhove, Heorhiivka, Pobjeda, Yelyzavetivka, Katerynivka, and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast) were shelled by the enemy as well.
Shakhtars’ke axis: the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations during the day of May 5. The invaders shelled Shakhtars’ke, Prechystivka, and Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast).
Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes: the adversary is defending. More than 40x settlements were shelled, including Burlats’ke, Vremivka, Novosilka, Zelene Pole, Novopil’ (Donetsk oblast), Ol’hivs’ke, Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Bilohir’ya, Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, Kam’yans’ke, Stepnohirs’k (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Nikopol’ (Dnipropetrovsk oblast), Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Vesele, Dniprovs’ke, Kizomys (Kherson oblast), and the city of Kherson.
Ukrainian citizens who refused to obtain a russian passport are being forcibly evicted by the occupiers in the city of Starobils’k. Usually, they come to a house no more than twice. On the third time, people and their belongings are forcibly thrown out into the street. The occupiers are not even deterred by minor children that may live in the apartment. After the eviction, these people are taken to filtration centers, and their homes are given to the russian occupation army to live in.
During the day of May 5, Ukrainian Air Force launched 10x air strikes on the concentrations of troops and military equipment of the adversary. They also intercepted 5x enemy Shahed-136/131, 2x Zala, 1x Orlan-10, 1x Kub, and 1x Lancet UAVs.
During the day of May 5, Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 5x concentrations of weapons and military equipment, 3x ammunition and fuel and lubricants depots, 1x air defense asset, and 5x other important targets of the adversary.
