Strike of “Daggers” in Lviv region: a dangerous trend is observed

The Russians again attacked the same object twice with an interval of several hours.

On Sunday morning, March 24, the Russians struck one of the critical infrastructure facilities in the Lviv Region with “Dagger” aeroballistic missiles.

The Russians attacked the same critical infrastructure first with cruise missiles and/or Shaheds, and then struck again with Daggers a few hours later.

In this episode, it is unlikely that the Russian military could, in only 3 or so hours, have time to conduct preliminary reconnaissance of the affected object, make a decision to fire again, prepare for take-off and raise four MiG-31K with “Daggers” missiles for attack.

According to Defense Express analysts, the Russians specifically struck a second blow at a time when search and rescue and recovery operations could already begin at the facility. In this way, the Russian Federation wanted to increase the number of victims and destruction.

Similar tactics were already used by the Russians during the missile attack on Odesa on March 15, 2024. Then the Russians hit one of the infrastructure facilities in the city, and when rescuers and medics arrived on the scene, they hit it a second time with an “Iskander” ballistic missile. This increased the number of victims. As a result of the attack, 21 people died and 73 people were injured.

“This kind of “know-how” in terror tactics of the Russian Federation “worked out” even during the campaign of attacks on Syria. We should be prepared that now the Russians may start using this “Syrian” preparation more often when attacking our infrastructure,” Defense Express concluded.

During the night attack on March 24, at least 20 enemy rockets and 7 Shaheds were recorded in the Lviv region. All of them were aimed at critical infrastructure facilities.

As a result of the attack of the Russian Federation on Lviv region, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged. In the morning, the Russians again hit the same critical infrastructure object that they targeted at night.

The rocket attack in Lviv Region hit the Naftogaz gas storage facility

The missile strike in Lviv region on March 24 targeted the Naftogaz underground gas storage facility, the company says.

In the west of Ukraine, there are some of the largest underground gas storage facilities in Europe. This is an important element of gas supply to Ukraine and gas transportation to Europe.

“Naftogaz” says that “the attack will not affect the supply of blue fuel to Ukrainian consumers.”

The leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation previously admitted that, among other things, strikes were carried out on gas facilities.
