Air defense forces shot down a dozen missiles over Kyiv.
On March 24, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with missiles – anti-aircraft defense shot down about 10 targets. Toxic fuel leaked from one of the downed missiles.
Correspondent Lyudmila Gavrylyuk told about this from the place where the fragments of the Russian rocket fell: “The emergency services arrived and asked us to move away from the place where the fragments of the Russian rocket fell. We moved 500 meters away, because they are just starting to pick up the fragments and load them into the car. I want to explain why we now wearing masks – there is a leak of rocket fuel here, it is very toxic. We were asked by the experts to wear masks for our health. It is quite difficult to breathe here, even though we are now among the trees.”
The correspondent also noted that there are a lot of rocket fragments at the crash site. Emergency workers have been loading them for about 20 minutes.
“The investigative and operational team is working. I counted about 7-8 pieces of debris, it is from one missile. So far they cannot say what type it is, whether it is Kh-55 or Kh-101. Here they have completely surrounded the perimeter where there are fragments from the rocket, but people are already walking their dogs, that is, life goes on. Ukrainians are showing that they cannot be broken and Russians are once again fighting against the civilian population,” said Lyudmila Gavrilyuk.
She also added that in another district of Kyiv, the facade of a high-rise building was damaged, and there were no casualties.
