Sumy partially without electricity, water – on schedule: the Russian army massively attacked the city with UAVs

After 1 am on August 27, about ten explosions were heard in Sumy. Later, at least three were heard in Okhtyrka. There are problems with electricity and water supply in Sumy.

On the night of August 27, the sounds of explosions were heard in Sumy and Okhtyrka. In some areas of Sumy, the power went out. Before that, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a drone attack.

Explosions in the Sumy region thundered after 1 am. About ten explosions were heard. Later, at least three thundered in Okhtyrka.

The head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov, confirmed the strikes on the Sumy community, noting that the Russians were hit by drones.

“The Russians have carried out a massive drone strike on the outskirts of the Sumy community. Preliminary, no casualties. There is damage to infrastructure facilities, emergency services are working,” he said.

As a result of the massive attack on Sumy, infrastructure facilities were damaged, emergency services are working.

According to acting chairman Artem Kobzar, there were no hits on residential areas.

Due to the partial lack of electricity in Sumy, only buses are running in the city, the Elektroavtotrans municipal enterprise reported.

In addition, there are problems with water. On August 27, water will be supplied in Sumy with reduced pressure according to the schedule:

“Due to the power outage of the booster pumps, water supply to the upper floors of multi-storey buildings will be absent. Water supply in the usual mode will resume after the stabilization of the power supply,” the Miskvodokanal municipal enterprise reported.
