As a result of Russian shelling, the administrative building of the railway in Lyman (Donetsk region) was destroyed and cannot be restored, the joint-stock company “Ukrzaliznytsia” reported on July 17.
Other premises were also significantly damaged, according to a statement from Ukrzaliznytsia. “After the shelling of the Russian army, the administrative building of the railway in Lyman cannot be restored, and other premises have suffered significant damage,” the report says.
It is noted that after the previous shelling, the railwaymen already tried to restore them – installed new windows, carried out cosmetic repairs in some places. But this time the scale of destruction turned out to be more significant.
Ukrzaliznytsia clarified that, fortunately, it was possible to avoid victims or injuries among railway workers, but it is not always so lucky.
