In Zaporizhzhia, from the evening of July 14 to noon on July 15, an almost continuous air alarm sounded. In total, the alarm lasted for more than 17 hours.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
According to him, Russian troops attacked the regional center with 24 Shahed attack drones. These are only those drones that flew directly over the city, excluding transit drones.
The target of the strike was critical infrastructure and the civilian population.
The alarm in the region was announced at 19:34 on July 14, and the response was only heard at 12:38 the next day. Even in the morning hours of July 15, when the response was heard, the interval between the alarms was insignificant – up to 20 minutes.
As a result of the attack, several fires broke out in the city, which rescuers managed to quickly extinguish. The blast wave and debris damaged the hangar and the administrative building of one of the infrastructure facilities.
