On December 5, Russian troops attacked the town of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region. Civilians were injured as a result of the attack.
This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office.
It is noted that the Russians fired at the city from the Grad rocket launcher. At the time of the attack, people received water and bread from volunteers.
A 50-year-old local resident died as a result of the shelling. She died on the spot from her injuries.
In addition, five more people – four women and one man aged from 38 to 84 – received shrapnel injuries. One of the victims is in serious condition, doctors are fighting for her life.
The prosecutor’s office reports that private homes and a car were also damaged as a result of the shelling.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war. Prosecutors are taking all possible and appropriate measures to record war crimes committed by the Russian Federation against the civilian population of Donetsk region.
