On the left bank of the Kherson region occupied by the Russians, the number of people who were unable to escape due to the flood caused by the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP has increased to 46. This was reported by TASS of the Russian Federation with reference to the emergency services.
The Russians claim that 122 people were injured and hospitalized with hypothermia and other injuries.
However, volunteers who helped people evacuate say that in reality the number of victims is much higher.
Water has already receded from 32 settlements in the region. On the right bank of the Dnieper, only Kherson, Novogrednevo and Blagodativka remain submerged.
Two weeks after the incident, the water level in the Kakhovsky Reservoir dropped below the level at which water can be taken from it.
Due to the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP, the Dnipro is returning to its course, in which it was 70 years ago.
