The buildings of the Jewish school and synagogue in Novozlatopol (Zaporizhia region) were destroyed as a result of the Russian invasion.
This was reported by the United Jewish Community of Ukraine on November 13.
The building of the old school, built at the end of the 19th century, was also used as a synagogue.
In addition, the building of another Jewish school nearby, which was built in the 1920s, was destroyed.
Novozlatopil was the largest Jewish agricultural colony of the Katerynoslav province, and later was the center of the Jewish national district of the same name.
During the Nazi offensive, the school building suffered significant damage, but was rebuilt by the villagers from the surviving and new bricks. And now this building is destroyed again – the aerial photo shows that only the outer walls of the historic buildings remain, which are also damaged.
