During April 19, rescuers of the Zaporizhzhia region eliminated three fires in open areas, one of which arose after enemy shelling. This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region.
It is noted that nature suffered the most – the fire covered a total of 2.5 hectares of ecosystems. The largest fire occurred in one of the villages of the Zaporizhzhia district. There, reeds caught fire due to shelling, and the flame quickly spread to an area of 2 hectares. Rescuers managed to extinguish it.
Also on that day, firefighters cleaned up the consequences of two more fires in the Zaporizhzhia district. In the village of Shchaslyve, an outbuilding was burning – the area of the fire was 2 square meters. In the village of Yurkivka, dry grass was burning – the fire spread to 2 hectares of open territory.
18 rescuers and 4 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
In addition, the SES units destroyed a missile warhead, a grenade launcher shot, and three improvised explosive devices that were found in the settlements of the region.
