The food crisis is intensifying in the territory of the occupied Kherson region. In Goliya Prystan, Oleshki, Nova Kakhovka and Kakhovka there is a problem with products, especially with the availability of bread. The prices of products are high, or the product is not available at all.
The Russian authorities do not hide this problem: they even created a special chatbot where they are asked to report information about the availability of bread. However, the occupation authorities confidently ignore these messages.
The phrase “social bread” is being heard more and more frequently by the regional authorities in the Kherson region, and they have also begun to call it “people’s bread”. It is sold for 16 rubles (about 10 hryvnias), but it quickly disappears from the shelves, and its quality leaves much to be desired. There is also little flour for sale, and the sowing campaign, despite the claims of Russian propaganda, almost does not take place, because the Russians shelled large areas of the fields, and the machinery for processing was mostly destroyed and stolen.
