The situation at the Dniprovska HPP dam is under control, there is no threat of a breach. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, on March 23.
The official held a meeting on the consequences of Russian shelling in the region with the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Olena Kramarenko and the head of the State Environmental Inspection Igor Zubovich.
“One of the issues on the agenda is operational information regarding the localization of the consequences of the shelling of the Dnipro HPP and the current situation. And, of course, the analysis of possible environmental consequences in the future,” he noted.
According to Ukrhydroenergo, the situation at the dam is under control: there is no threat of a dam breach, and no leakage of oil products has been recorded.
According to the State Inspectorate, there is a decrease in the concentration of petroleum products in water.
