The Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council Yuriy Sobolevsky said that this is far from the entire list of the evils that the Putin regime is committing in the temporarily occupied territories. Russia will also soon ban entry to the 15-kilometer zone on the left bank of the Kherson region.
First, the Russians are trying to make it difficult for people to transmit information about the movement and location of the occupiers, as well as their critical facilities. That is, they seek to reduce the number of sources of military useful information.
Secondly, the Russians want to resettle people. This is such a hidden deportation, moreover, the emphasis is on the territory of Russia. According to Sobolevsky, the occupation administration has already started discussions about housing certificates, the benefits of moving to Russian regions. They promise some benefits and humanitarian support, so that the locals will only volunteer to move.
How Russia is trying to integrate Ukrainian children into the “Russian measure”
Russians are actively taking Ukrainian girls to the territory of Russia for health and cultural exchange. In fact, the Russians have a completely different goal, namely the forced integration of minors into the “Russian measure”.
They understand that they will not be able to achieve certain results through terror. Therefore, the arrests and disappearances of people continue, but in this way the Russians will still not get loyal people.
Therefore, the emphasis was on children. They try to “twist” them as much as possible. All the programs they do are propaganda. It is mandatory to visit some museums, where they are told about the “wonderful” USSR, and that Ukraine has always been part of the Russian Empire, then the Soviet Union. Work is underway to destroy nationality, Yuriy Sobolevsky emphasized.
What is the situation with mobilization in the occupied territory
Also, Russia is madly pressuring men to register for the military. Without it, it is almost impossible to survive as without a Russian passport. Because every block post is sometimes detention of people and physical violence.
Forced mobilization is not 100% now. The Russians try to act in a different way – to bribe and conclude contracts, promising preferential mortgages and good payments. All so that men agree to go and fight on the side of Russia. Unfortunately, there are isolated cases.
However, according to information from the Kherson Regional Council, as a rule, these people are not sent to combat units and are not even given weapons. After all, they are afraid that it can be directed against them. More often, men are thrown into engineering work, rear support and the so-called “volunteer battalion of Margelov”.
It was created a year ago as a demonstration that the people of Kherson are ready to fight as part of the Russian army against Ukraine. However, they still haven’t been able to form it, and now everyone is being recruited so that there is at least a unit.
