The military of the Russian Federation began to “strengthen the Russian identity” in the Zaporizhzhia region

The higher military and political leadership of the Russian Federation continues to take successive steps aimed at displacing Ukrainian identity from the consciousness of the population of the temporarily occupied territories of southern Ukraine. The Russians are intensifying propaganda, in particular in the occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region.

This is reported by the Center of National Resistance: “Analysis of the information field of the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region indicates the deployment of a targeted campaign to impose a Russian identity on the local population and force them to integrate into the socio-cultural space of the Russian Federation.”

The statement of the head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities of the Russian Federation, Yevhen Barynov, in which he announced the opening of a network of representative offices of this agency in the occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region with the aim of “strengthening Russian identity and international unity in regions that have only recently been freed from the oppression of Ukraine” is being widely circulated.

The activities of the created representative offices of the Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs of the Russian Federation will be focused on involving various social groups of the population of the occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region in cooperation with Russian public organizations, creating joint programs of “educational work”, as well as actively implementing “humanitarian programs”.

It will be recalled that earlier it became known that the Russian occupying forces are forcing employees of educational institutions of the Zaporizhzhia region to obtain the citizenship of the aggressor country. Teachers in Melitopol were given time until June 1.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russians are restricting the movement of Ukrainian citizens who have not received a Russian passport at checkpoints in the city of Tokmak. The russians search vehicles and threaten Ukrainian citizens with a ban on entering the city.
