As of August 19, since the beginning of the Russian invasion, 18,510 civilian objects have been partially or completely damaged in Mykolaiv Region.
This was reported in the press service of the Mykolaiv regional military administration.
Of them:
– housing stock objects – 12231;
– medical institutions – 109;
– educational institutions – 435;
– cultural institutions – 210;
– facilities of industrial enterprises – 209;
– life support facilities: gas – 1,434, electricity – 1,143, water – 44, heat supply – 96;
– other non-military objects – 2599.
At the moment, works are ongoing in the region to restore gas supply in the settlements affected by the war.
Currently, only 4,066 consumers are without gas supply.
Over the course of the next day, units of the State Emergency Service were involved 16 times to identify explosive objects, and 24 explosive devices were seized.
Voluntary evacuation is underway. As of August 19, there are 342 internally displaced persons in temporary accommodation facilities in Mykolaiv.
Since the beginning of the war, the Russians have already killed 503 children in Ukraine, and another 1,115 children have been injured. This was announced by the Prosecutor General’s Office, publishing data as of the morning of August 20.
It is noted that the data are not final. Work continues on their clarification in places of hostilities, in temporarily captured and liberated territories.
The largest number of children were affected in Donetsk region – 485, Kharkiv region – 299, Kyiv region – 129, Kherson region – 121, Zaporizhzhya region – 99, Mykolaiv region – 97, Dnipropetrovsk region – 95, Chernihiv region – 71, Luhansk region – 67. As of June 2, 2023, 19 children were reported to have died as a result of the war in the Mykolaiv region. Later, the Mykolaiv regional military administration called them all by name.
