Russian drones on the night of October in addition to the granary, there were hits at the oil depot facilities 1 targeted three objects of civil infrastructure in Uman, Cherkasy region: a grain storehouse and two objects of a former oil depot.
This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy regional military administration, Ihor Taburets, and the chief engineer of the granary, Volodymyr Kulbitskyi.
The total area of the fire is about 3,600 square meters. The reservoirs of the oil depot have not been used for a long time, Taburets said.
According to the official, the Russians in Uman aimed exclusively at civilian infrastructure objects.
“A little after midnight on October 1, drones hit the territory of Uman. In particular, they targeted a granary where sunflower seeds had just been collected – about 90 tons,” he said.

According to the chief engineer of the enterprise, Volodymyr Kulbitskyi, the warehouse, which was targeted by a drone at night, cannot be restored this season.
“Six grain warehouses were hit. Those in which grain was supposed to be stored, as well as those that were used, were destroyed. The hits to the warehouses were precise — there was no hit outside the warehouses,” Kulbitskyi said.
In total, about nine explosions were heard over the industrial district in Uman at night, local residents said.
The head of the Uman district administration Ihor Myklashchuk added:
“The Russians hit the places of Ukraine’s food security – the places where grain and products are stored. The most hits took place at this enterprise. Regarding compensation, the commission started working this morning, which accounts for the losses due to the hits.”
According to him, first of all, the aid will be directed to the civilian population, which suffered losses as a result of the blast wave:
“How aid will be provided to the affected enterprise will be determined by the leadership of the regional military administration and state bodies, since there are no funds in the local budget for compensation of such a scale,” Ihor Myklashchuk added.
