The number of Belarusians in the war against Ukraine is increasing

About 3,000 Belarusian citizens are fighting on the side of Russia in the war against Ukraine. The number of people from this country keeps growing. According to Ukraine’s special envoy Yaroslav Chornogor, this trend is dangerous and to counter it, there needs to be more active cooperation with independent Belarusian media. He noted that while calls to join the Russian army used to appear occasionally, now more than 60 public channels are systematically looking for Belarusians willing to fight on Russia’s side.
