The number of dead as a result of the massive night attack by Russians on Zaporizhzhia has increased

On the night of August 27 at 1:43 a.m., the Russian military launched another massive shelling of Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district. The Russians carried out seven strikes with drones on residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.

As a result of the Russian attack, two people died, four more were injured. An 86-year-old woman was in critical condition with burns over 54% of her body.

Unfortunately, there were more victims of the Russian night attack on Zaporizhzhia. Recently, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that an elderly woman who received severe burns died in the hospital. She was taken to the hospital in an extremely serious condition. Doctors fought for her life for several hours, but could not save her. Thus, the number of victims of this attack increased to three.

The injured man remains in the hospital with a broken limb. Doctors assess his condition as stable of medium severity. Two more women refused further hospitalization after the help of doctors.

The press service of the main department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region told about how the operation to save people took place.

In one of the districts of the city, there was a hit on the private sector. As a result of the incident, the house was destroyed, neighboring houses were damaged by the blast wave and debris.

The rescuers found the injured man and woman and handed them over to medics. The bodies of a man and a woman without signs of life were unblocked from under the rubble.

Simultaneously with the search and rescue operations, the emergency workers extinguished the fire in three buildings, which arose as a result of shelling on a total area of ​​400 square meters. m.

At another address, an attack was also made on the private sector, where a workshop and a car caught fire on a total area of ​​150 square meters. Nearby private houses and vehicles were damaged by the blast wave. Rescuers extinguished the fire. A woman was injured as a result of the incident.

As the secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council reported, 12 high-rise buildings and more than 20 private houses in two districts of the city were damaged as a result of a night attack by Russia against Zaporizhzhia. Damaged windows, balconies, loggias. Two private houses were actually destroyed. The inspection of housing continues.

Emergency and rescue services are working on the ground. Utility workers cover windows with OSB plates, dismantle debris, clean and remove construction debris. Volunteers of “Dobrobat” and employees of “Veltum-Zaporizhzhia” help.

Also, police officers continue to work at the scene of the shootings.
