The number of deaths increased as a result of the Russian strike on the Kherson region

On the afternoon of March 1, Russian troops attacked the Korabelny district of Kherson. Four people were mortally wounded as a result of the shelling.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Alexander Prokudin.

At about 1:20 p.m., the Russians fired on civilians right at the entrance to a residential building. According to the head of the region, it was initially known that three people died on the spot – among them two elderly women. Two more Kherson residents were seriously injured and were urgently hospitalized.

Later, it became known that the number of victims had increased: an 85-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man died in the hospital from their injuries. Thus, the daytime shelling claimed the lives of four people. In addition, according to the Kherson city military administration, the Korabelny district was under fire during the morning attack. Then, educational institutions and high-rise buildings were hit, resulting in one person being injured.

On February 28, eight civilians and two police officers were injured in the Kherson region as a result of shelling by Russian troops, who were blown up by mines. Houses, transport and infrastructure were also damaged. In various settlements, four apartment buildings and 11 private houses, a factory administrative building, a dormitory, a critical infrastructure facility, four trolleybuses, two minibuses and two cars were damaged.

In Mylovye, an FPV drone hit a private house, and in Stepanivka, artillery damaged housing. In Velyka Oleksandrivka, an unknown device exploded during a household inspection, injuring two police officers (40 and 43 years old) with contusions and shrapnel wounds.

In the Dniprovs’kyi district of Kherson, a drone dropped explosives on a dormitory, injuring an 80-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man. Later, another FPV drone injured a 30-year-old man, and the territory of the transport enterprise was damaged by trolleybuses and a minibus.
