In the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, as a result of the flood caused by the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP, the number of dead has increased. It is known that 17 people became victims of the Russian terrorist act, 13 of them died directly as a result of drowning. Another 31 people are considered missing.
This was reported by the deputy head of the Office of the President Oleksiy Kuleba.
He noted that search operations are currently ongoing. Therefore, this number is not final and may increase.
Kuleba noted that more than four thousand people were evacuated from the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions: “The headquarters in the Kherson region continues to work. It promptly solves all urgent problems, of which there are many. To date, 474 people are in places of temporary stay. They are provided with constant assistance. Others people are mostly staying with their relatives, they have found an alternative place of residence.”
He also noted that in these regions work is being carried out to clear the territory and restore it.

In Mykolaiv region, Kherson region and Dnipropetrovsk region, infectious disease centers have been set up to receive patients with acute intestinal and other infectious diseases. Additional infectious beds have already been deployed in these hospitals.
