The number of victims of the Russian night strike in Kyiv has increased

As a result of the massive missile strike on Kyiv on the night of August 28, the number of dead has increased to 23, including four children. Dozens of people were also injured.

This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Timur Tkachenko, the State Emergency Service and its chairman Vitaliy Klitschko.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration reported the continuation of rescue operations in the Darnytsia district, where a missile hit a residential building.

“23 people died. Search and rescue operations are continuing at the site of the attack in the Darnytsia district,” Tkachenko noted.

According to the State Emergency Service, at least 52 people were injured. Emergency workers are conducting emergency rescue operations at two facilities.

The military administration specified that up to 10 people may remain under the rubble.

Local authorities have organized assistance to the victims. Headquarters are working in Darnytsia district to coordinate appeals from residents.

Chairman Vitaliy Klitschko reported that the number of wounded has increased.

“At the moment, 63 injured are known. 35 people are in city hospitals, including six children,” Klitschko said.

On the night of August 28, the Russians launched a massive strike on the territory of Ukraine using strike UAVs, air- and ground-based missiles.

In total, 629 air attack vehicles: 598 Shahed strike UAVs and various types of simulator drones; two Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles; nine Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles; 20 Kh-101 cruise missiles.
