The Russian occupiers struck 69 attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine in a day. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning briefing on February 19.

“During the day, the Russian occupiers launched 4 air strikes and 15 missile strikes, most of them against the civilian infrastructure of the Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kherson regions,” the Ukrainian military said.

The Russians also fired more than 50 rounds of anti-aircraft fire during the day. The General Staff emphasized that there remains a high threat of missile strikes throughout Ukraine.

The order of the commander of the forces of the southern military district of the Russian Federation regarding the organization of mobilization activities in the temporarily occupied territories – LPR, DPR, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions – appeared online.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation requires local military commanders to register all men, conduct their medical examination, and provide them with documents.

The commanders of the 1st and 2nd army corpsеs, military commissars of the regions were ordered to do everything according to a simplified procedure, to shorten the period of selection of candidates to 2 days from the moment of mobilization to sending to the military unit.

The Russian military and political leadership is trying to gain time by mobilizing men from the captured territories to the front, replenish the ranks of significantly depleted units, and try to postpone popular discontent with another wave of mobilization in Russia.

At the beginning of the so-called special operation, the leaders of the DPR and LPR already organized mass hunts and roundups of men. Thousands of untrained men were thrown as “cannon fodder” to fight for the imperial ambitions of the Kremlin dwarf. Currently, this awaits the residents of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

The mobilization of residents from the occupied territories is a war crime. According to Art. 51 of the Geneva Convention on the Protection of the Civilian Population in Time of War from 1949, the occupying power is prohibited from forcing the civilian population of the occupied territory to serve in its armed forces.

Russia will be punished for war crimes committed in Ukraine. Residents of the temporarily occupied territories must avoid being drafted into the Russian army, and in the event of mobilization, surrendering to the armed forces is the only way to survive. The Kremlin does not care about the lives of its own citizens, let alone the lives of “new” citizens.

In the occupied Mariupol, the Rashists began to empty the library funds of the Azov State University. According to the Mariupol City Council, the invaders threw several tons of books into the street for destruction.

Gaidai noted that private houses were destroyed as a result of shelling

As a result of shelling by the Russian occupiers of the village of Nevske, Luhansk region, a local resident was injured. This was announced by the head of the regional military administration, Serhii Gaidai.

“Today at 10:00 a.m., rioters set fire to the de-occupied village of Nevsky in the Svativ district. Private houses were destroyed. An 84-year-old local resident was injured,” he wrote.

The head of the regional administration noted that the injured woman was taken to a hospital in the neighboring Donetsk region.

“More than 100 people still remain in the settlement of Nevske,” Gaidai emphasized.

The invaders, after a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, captured almost the entire Luhansk region. The last large city of the region, Lysychansk, was abandoned by the ZSU on July 3.

In late August – early September, the Ukrainian military launched a counteroffensive in the south and east of the country.
