The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported the details of the shooting of civilians by the Russian Subversive Intelligence Group in the Sumy Region

The Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine began an investigation into the shooting of a brother and sister by Russian saboteurs in the Sumy Region this morning, January 27.

This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

“Under the procedural leadership of the Sumy regional prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the message says.

According to the investigation, in the morning of January 27, the Russians fired at a vehicle with civilians traveling on the road between two villages of the Khota community of the Sumy district.

As noted, the 54-year-old man who was driving and his 68-year-old sister died.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the Sumy region.

Residents of the border area of Sumy region were urged to evacuate to safer areas.
