The Prosecutor’s Office of the Kherson region reported the death of two men as a result of shelling by the Russian Federation

The investigation into the death of two civilians as a result of Russian shelling in the Kakhovskyі district of the Kherson region has been initiated, the prosecutor’s office reports: “On April 22, in the settlements of the de-occupied part of the Kakhovskyі district, the facts of the death of two men, 85 and 50 years old, who received life-threatening injuries due to Russian shelling, were established.”

Under the procedural leadership of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war has been launched.

Earlier, the head of the city’s military administration, Roman Mrochko, reported that two civilians were wounded in Kherson on April 22 as a result of Russian shelling. According to him, the men were wounded around 11:30 a.m. during Russian shelling of the city’s Dnipro district.

Russian troops are shelling the de-occupied part of Kherson region, in particular the regional center, every day. Despite the evidence and testimony, Moscow has denied a targeted attack on civilians since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
