The Red Cross confirmed the status of the prisoner of the Russian Federation of the chairman of Kherson

The International Committee of the Red Cross has confirmed the status of the captured Kherson chairman Igor Kolyhayev.

Kolykhayev’s son Sviatoslav reported this. According to the chairman’s son, the status was officially confirmed on September 13, 2023: “I contacted the Red Cross and they told me that the Russian side submitted my father Igor Kolyhayev to the list of prisoners and he is on the territory of the Russian Federation. Where exactly and about his condition health was not noted. His status was also updated in the personal office of the coordination headquarters.”

On June 28, 2022, the Russian military kidnapped the chairman of Kherson, Ihor Kolykhaev. He came to one of the communal institutions where the remaining employees of the city executive committee worked. As soon as he got out of the car, he was immediately detained by armed representatives of the Russian Guard and, most likely, the FSB.
