Rescuers came under fire when they came to put out a house fire after an attack by Russian troops in the suburbs of Kherson on the night of November 15. The fire had to be extinguished several times with interruptions.

“Arriving at the scene, the rescuers came under repeated fire and had to leave several times to a safe place, and then return to extinguishing the fire again,” the rescuers say.

As the department added, despite all the difficulties, the fire was extinguished.

Not the first shelling

Russian troops are constantly firing at rescue teams while extinguishing fires or at the buildings of emergency services units in Ukraine. On November 15, a rescue brigade in the Zaporizhzhya district also came under fire, as a result of which two soldiers of the State Emergency Service were killed and three more were wounded. They came to put out the fire after the Russian attack and came under repeated fire.
