The Russian army attacked an educational institution in Sumy: 13 injured, up to 400 windows in houses were damaged

On the evening of September 1, the Russian military launched a missile attack on the center for social and psychological rehabilitation of children and an orphanage in Sumy, the regional military administration said in a statement.

According to the regional military administration, the building is located in a residential neighborhood of the city. All the necessary services worked on the spot, people were provided with medical assistance.

Currently, two people are known to have been injured as a result of the Russian attack on an educational institution. This is a seven-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl.

Oleksiy Drozdenko, the head of the Sumy city military administration, said that the headquarters will be deployed in the 22nd school tomorrow morning. According to him, there are already victims as a result of the attack.

According to Deputy Chairman Stanislav Polyakov, 13 victims are currently known. Four were admitted to a hospital, the same number received medical assistance on the spot, five will be treated on an outpatient basis. There were no casualties as a result of the attack by the Russian forces, four injured were treated.

“Approximately, up to 400 windows in the houses were damaged,” says the Sumy City Council.
