The Russian army carried out 83 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region, 29 residents were injured

On August 18, the Russian army shelled 29 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.

This was reported by the chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Yuriy Malashko: “29 towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Region have again come under enemy fire – 83 strikes have been carried out on peaceful communities over the past day.”

According to him, the Russians fired 4 rockets at the regional center and Komyshuvaha.

At the same time, 69 artillery shells fell on settlements on the front line: Gulyaipol, Levadny, Orikhov, Novodanilivtsi, Stepnohirsk, Pyatikhatki and other villages. The Russians attacked Poltava, Chervone and Mali Shcherbaki with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles. Orihiv and Mala Tokmachka were damaged as a result of airstrikes, there were also three attacks from anti-aircraft missiles – the strikes were aimed at Novodarivka and Yehorivka.

The destruction of 38 objects of residential infrastructure was recorded, noted the chairman of the regional military administration.

On August 19, the Russians once again shelled the city of Gulyaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region, as a result of which one person was killed and another was injured. The Russians killed another woman in Zaporizhzhia, she died as a result of shelling in Gulyaipolе on the morning of August 19.

The community spent the morning under fire from MLRS and artillery. A married couple was hit: a 56-year-old woman died, and a 61-year-old man was injured. He was promptly taken to a medical institution, the regional military administration reported. At one of the addresses, a residential building was destroyed without subsequent burning. A building caught fire on another property. Emergency services quickly extinguished the flames, the State Emergency Service reported.
