The Russian army continues to shell peaceful cities of Ukraine and destroy infrastructure
Kherson region
The Russian army has repeatedly shelled the right bank of the Kherson region with MLRS, mortars, artillery, UAVs and aviation.
This is reported by the police of the Kherson region: “the Russians attacked the peaceful communities of the Berislavsky, Kakhovsky, and Kherson districts. Unfortunately, there are victims of Russian aggression. The Russian army covered the villages of Vesele and the village of Lviv with mortar fire, two people were killed and three were wounded there. Barrel artillery the occupiers treacherously shelled the village of Mykhailivka, as a result of which the school, the village head office and the cultural center were damaged.”
In addition, the Russian military released guided bombs from the air force on the city of Berislav, as a result of which the production facilities of the enterprise, gas stations and residential buildings were damaged. Due to Russian attacks, several villages of Bilozersk community were left without electricity and water supply.
Russian troops once again subjected the city of Kherson to massive shelling, explosions rang out around the clock. They tried to destroy infrastructure facilities, aimed at peaceful residential quarters of the Korabel, Tavriyskyi, and other microdistricts. Apartments in high-rise buildings, private houses, cars, shops and road surfaces were damaged by shells. On May 24, police investigators opened 37 criminal proceedings under Art. 438 “Violation of laws and customs of war” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Russian troops continue shelling peaceful settlements in the Kherson region. On May 24, the Russians attacked Berislav from aviation. A factory building and a dormitory of an educational institution were hit there, as well as residential buildings were damaged.
In the village of Novotyaginka, a fire broke out in a private house due to mortar shelling. Rescuers are working on the spot.
“The army of the Russian Federation also attacked Ivanovka. As a result of shelling, a 60-year-old woman was wounded, she was hospitalized, doctors are providing the victim with the necessary assistance,” the regional military administration reported.
Sumy region
Russian troops injured two civilians of Sumy region and dropped an aerial bomb on a kindergarten
On May 24, after 1:00 p.m., Russian troops shelled one of the border villages of the Khotyn community with mortars.
As a result of the shelling, two civilians were injured by mines and explosives, and the building of a local agricultural company was partially destroyed.
Russian aviation also dropped a guided air munition (UAV) on a kindergarten in one of the villages of the Yunakiv community, which significantly damaged the building.
There is no information about civilian casualties.
