According to Borzov, property and private cars were damaged. All the necessary assistance is provided to people who were afraid of the attack of the Russian Federation.

On September 1, Russian troops shelled the town of Seredyna-Buda in Sumy Oblast with artillery fire, as a result of which four people were wounded, and 16 apartment buildings and critical infrastructure were damaged, the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.

“According to the investigation, on September 1, 2023, at around 12:00 p.m., Russians from the territory of the Russian Federation launched an artillery attack on the town of Seredyna-Buda, Shostkinsky district. As a result of the enemy’s attack, four local residents received shrapnel wounds. 16 apartment buildings, 12 private households, about a critical infrastructure facility, five administrative buildings and institutions, three educational institutions, shops and vehicles,” the message reads.

It is noted that “in general, law enforcement officers received more than 100 reports of damage to citizens’ property.”

Under the procedural guidance of the Shostky District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation was started on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
