The Russian army covered Avdiivka and Krasnohorivka with artillery: two people were killed, three were wounded

Avdiyivka and nearby settlements are under regular heavy fire from the Russian army. The morning of September 12, unfortunately, was not an exception: the Russians covered the city itself and Krasnohorivka with artillery fire. As a result, civilians suffered and died.

As reported in the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office, one of the 152 mm projectiles of the occupiers hit a private residential building in Krasnohorivka. Two of its residents – an 84-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man – unfortunately died. Another resident, a 70-year-old woman who recently helped here with the household, was injured. She was hospitalized with burns and contusion.

In Avdiivka, an 82-year-old woman and her 55-year-old daughter were injured as a result of Russian shelling at dawn. At the time of the attack, they were in their own home in the city. The women were taken to a medical facility with shrapnel wounds and fractures.

Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office, pre-trial investigations are carried out in criminal proceedings on the facts of violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
