The Russian army shelled Kharkiv 36 times in a week, 93 people were injured

On May 5, Chairman Igor Terekhov summed up the results of Russian shelling in the previous week:

“We have 36 shellings in the last seven days. All were carried out using UAVs of the Shahed and Molniya types. This is a clearly planned tactic of intimidation, aimed by the enemy to keep the city in constant tension.”

The Chairman pointed out that the Russian attacks are not aimed at military facilities, but at residential areas. In particular, the Shevchenkivskyi, Saltivskyi, Kyivskyi, Osnovyanskyi and Slobidskyi districts were affected.

“The Russians’ priority is houses, hospitals, schools, networks. That is, everything that forms the daily stability of the city. 93 people were injured. Three of them are children. There were no deaths. In particular, thanks to the work of doctors and rescuers,” Terekhov said.

At the same time, according to his data, the duration of air alerts continues to decrease: “at the beginning of May – already minus 28 hours. In total over the last 10 weeks – minus 258 hours.” Therefore, alerts for Kharkiv are generally sounded about a third less than for the region, Terekhov concludes.
