The Russian army struck Poltava region: 12 injured

Russian troops launched a missile attack on the civil infrastructure of the Poltava district. There are civilian victims, including children. More than 50,000 consumers were cut off. Damaged high-rise buildings.

On the afternoon of June 17, the Russian army launched a missile attack on the civil infrastructure of the Poltava district.

The head of the Poltava regional military administration, Philip Pronin, initially reported that at least nine people were injured as a result of the attack. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

Later, he said that the number of victims increased to 12 people. Among them are two children. Three injured were hospitalized.

More than 50,000 consumers are without electricity

The impact damaged several high-rise buildings and power lines. 53 thousand household and 2.4 thousand legal consumers were cut off.

“Emergency teams are already working on eliminating the consequences in order to restore the power supply as quickly as possible. We are keeping calm. The situation is under control,” Pronin assured.

Shortly before the attack, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of a Russian missile flying in the direction of Myrhorod in the Poltava region.

It also became known about the death of a civilian man who was injured as a result of an enemy attack last week.

Condolences to family and friends. The enemy will surely be punished for every innocent victim of this war. Last week, the Russians attacked the Myrhorod district. A man was injured, doctors had to amputate his arm. About a dozen private buildings were also damaged, Pronin said.

The number of people injured as a result of a missile strike in the Poltava district has increased to 16 people, according to preliminary data, the strike was caused by an Kh-59 cruise missile, the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.

“According to the investigation, on June 17, the armed forces of the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on the city of Poltava. Previously, the enemy hit the civilian infrastructure with an Kh-59 cruise missile. As a result of the attack, civilians were injured – 16 people are currently known, including two children. Six people were hospitalized,” the Office of the Prosecutor General said in a statement on Monday evening.

According to the prosecutor’s office, several high-rise buildings, kindergarten premises, power lines and garages were damaged.

It is reported that under the procedural leadership of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
