A residential building in Kharkiv, which was hit by a Russian rocket yesterday, may be partially demolished. It is now dangerous to be in the building.
This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Sinegubov, on the broadcast of the telethon.
“At the moment, the units of the State Emergency Service are determining the state of emergency of this building, it will probably be partially demolished, because now the main task is to eliminate the state of emergency there. That is, the risk that some wall may collapse on its own,” Sinegubov explained.
The head of the region added that it is currently not possible to live in a house hit by a Russian rocket. In the near future, an examination will be conducted regarding the violation of the building’s structures. Later, the city authorities will decide whether they will restore the building or whether it will be partially or completely demolished.
Synegubov does not rule out that neighboring buildings could also be damaged as a result of the shelling. He noted that the rescuers will also inspect nearby houses, since a Russian missile hit the historic buildings of Kharkiv.
