The Russian Federation attacked the Poltava region: thousands of people without electricity, there is destruction, fires broke out

The attack resulted in destruction and damage to the power line. More than 19 thousand consumers were left without electricity.

Since the evening of February 25, Russia has been attacking Ukraine with missiles and drones. The Poltava region was also hit. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Vitaly Dyakivnych.

At 23:29, he warned about the work of air defense in the Poltava region. At 00:40, it became known that the Russian attack was still ongoing.

“On the night of February 26, the Russians attacked the Poltava region. As a result of falling debris and direct hits, the facilities of an industrial enterprise in the Poltava district were damaged. According to the State Emergency Service, the fires that arose as a result of the attack were eliminated,” Dyakivnych said on the morning of February 26.

In the Lubny district, a private household and a power line were damaged as a result of falling debris. Therefore, 18,209 household and 1,781 legal consumers were left without electricity.

“Energy engineers are working to restore power supply. Fortunately, in both cases there were no casualties,” the head of the regional military administration added.
