The Russian Federation attacked the port and border infrastructure of the Odesa region with drones: there are wounded

Russian troops continue to attack the Odesa region. On the morning of Wednesday, October 2, the Russians attacked the border and port infrastructure of the Izmail district with kamikaze drones. There are casualties, Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, noted.

As a result of the drone attack, two truck drivers were injured. One of them is a citizen of Turkey. They were taken to the hospital in moderate condition. A fire broke out at the place of “arrival”.

At the “Orlivka” checkpoint connecting Ukraine with Romania, transit operations have been temporarily suspended until 11:00 a.m., according to preliminary information. Currently, measures are being taken to stabilize its functioning.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, September was the first month when Russian forces launched Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones over Ukrainian cities and villages every day.

Also, as a result of the attack, two truck drivers were injured. Firefighters extinguished the large-scale fire. At the place of “arrivals” of Shaheds or their wreckage, there are several destroyed trucks. Almost all of them burned to the ground. The goods in these cars also burned. One of the trucks was carrying a 50-ton batch of meat, which burned along with the truck. Hangars where grain is stored were also seriously damaged.
