The Russian Federation attacked Vovchansk against the backdrop of the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyii

The Russians began dropping aerial bombs on Vovchansk after it was reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi was in the city. Ukrainian military correspondent Andrii Tsaplienko wrote about it.

Volodymyr Zelenskyii visited the advanced command post of the Special Operations Forces in the Kharkiv direction near the city of Vovchansk. He congratulated the soldiers on the holiday and honored them with state awards, the press service of the head of state reported on July 29.

Then Zelenskyi arrived in Kharkiv and held a meeting on the security and energy situation in the city and the region. It discussed the preparation of Kharkiv region for the heating period. The president emphasized that he is waiting for a clear plan to protect the region’s skies and restore energy infrastructure facilities.
