The Russian Federation began massive attacks on gas stations in the Mykolaiv region

Residents of the Mykolaiv region are urged to react during air raids and not to be at gas stations.

Russian troops have changed the tactics of attacks in the Mykolaiv region and are increasingly attacking gas stations. The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration urged residents not to be at gas stations during an air alert, as such objects remain potential targets for the Russians.

According to the head of the regional military administration, Vitaly Kim, despite the successful work of the Ukrainian air defense, it is still impossible to avoid all hits.

Despite the fact that the Defense Forces have shot down more than 50 drones, there are still flights. The Russians are concentrating on gas stations. They are doing this for the sake of the picture, because our Defense Forces are attacking their industry.

The fight against drones in front-line areas remains particularly difficult. Russian troops use the peculiarities of the terrain, which complicates the work of electronic warfare equipment.

At the same time, interceptors and missiles for destroying air targets remain the main means of counteraction. The Russians do not use new technologies, but they have significantly increased the number of drones they use for attacks.

Gas stations are mainly located along highways, where there are no other critical infrastructure facilities. That is why they have become new targets for Russian attacks.

There are many gas stations, we cannot deploy “personal security” at each gas station. We protect the most important facilities, – explained Kim.

It is also noted that the region is already analyzing the possibilities of strengthening the protection of such facilities. Air defense forces and means are being redistributed taking into account the new Russian tactics in order to maximally protect gas stations from enemy strikes.

New drone attacks in Mykolaiv region: six injured, gas stations and houses damaged

On July 5, the Russians attacked the Mykolaiv region with Shahed/Gerber strike UAVs and FPV drones.

A 49-year-old woman was injured in the Nechayansk community, she was hospitalized, her condition is moderate, stable. Later, in another region, a 45-year-old man himself sought help. A gas station was damaged.

In the Novoodeska community, two men, ages 39 and 40, were injured and hospitalized, and are in stable condition. A gas station and a power line were damaged.

In the Koblevska community, drones damaged a private house and two cars.

In the Mykolaiv district, Russians attacked the Ochakivska and Galitsynivska communities five times with FPV drones. As a result of one of the attacks, two men, ages 61 and 65, received minor injuries; they refused hospitalization. Agricultural machinery was damaged.

The condition of the victims is assessed as moderate, stable. Rescuers continue to eliminate the consequences of the attacks.
