As a result of shelling by the Russians, an entire Ukrainian family of the Donetsk region was killed and four more children were injured, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported on June 8.
According to the investigation, on June 7, around 7:45 p.m., the residential quarters of the city of Ukranian were probably subjected to artillery shelling.
As a result of the attack, the whole family died – a grandfather, his son and a four-year-old grandson. Two more girls and two boys, aged three, four, nine and 13, suffered mine-explosive injuries and other bodily injuries.
In addition, a wounded 27-year-old man was treated at the scene.
The final number of victims is being determined.
Under the procedural leadership of the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted in criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
