The Russian Federation deliberately attacked the residential quarters of Mykolaiv with “shaheds” with thermobaric shells

Russian troops began purposefully intimidating the civilian population by attacking residential areas, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaly Kim, said.

According to him, on the night of November 11, Russian “shahed” purposefully flew to residential areas where there are no military facilities.

“Today’s attack on a five-story residential building in Kryvyi Rih with a ballistic missile is confirmation of this new tactic,” Kim said.

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaly Kim, emphasized that such attacks increase social tension, creating additional psychological stress in society. Similar strikes are recorded in many cities: Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kharkiv and Kryvyi Rih.

The Russian army uses mixed tactics, attacking cities with cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as drones of various types. Attacks on residential buildings were added to the shelling of critical infrastructure.

On November 11, Mykolaiv was attacked by a “shahed” with a thermobaric charge: although its power is relatively small, it effectively destroys the space inside buildings.

Kim specified that old five-story buildings are particularly dangerous, as they may not withstand impacts and collapse. “Concrete structures in general must withstand such attacks, and basements can be a good shelter,” he said.

The head of the regional military administration urged residents to respond to alarms, as the Russians’ targets have shifted to residential areas.
