The Russian Federation shelled the DTEK thermal power plant: the equipment was seriously damaged

This is already the eighth mass attack by Russians on the company’s energy enterprises this year.

On November 17, the Russians carried out a massive attack on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. DTEK reported an attack on the company’s thermal power plant.

According to preliminary data, there were no casualties. However, station equipment was seriously damaged.

“After the end of the shelling, the employees of the enterprises quickly began to eliminate their consequences and restore the operation of the equipment,” – said the statement of DTEK.

The company added that this is already the eighth massive Russian attack on DTEK power plants this year. And since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the thermal power plants of the company have been fired upon more than 190 times.

On November 17, the Russians attacked the power system — electricity generation and transmission facilities throughout Ukraine. In a number of regions, emergency power outages have been implemented.
