As a result of the shelling of the Zaporizhizhia region, thousands of subscribers were left without gas. Rescuers extinguished the fire at the site of the strike after five hours.

On the night of March 9, rescuers completely localized the fire, which was a result of shelling from the Russian side.
Firefighters fought the flames for more than five hours, and only at 2:00 a.m. did they manage to completely extinguish it.
Due to the shelling, almost 2,000 subscribers in the villages of Matviyivka and Lucerna were left without gas supply. Gas workers are actively working to restore gas supply in order to return utility services to people as soon as possible.
In Zaporizhizhia, temporary decreases in gas pressure were observed, but 210 thousand subscribers and 500 enterprises are already receiving gas in the normal mode.
As for the heat supply, there were no interruptions, and the service is provided stably.
Critical infrastructure was damaged due to Russian strikes on the Zaporizhizhia region and its center on March 8. Residents were warned about possible interruptions in the supply of gas and heat due to shelling.
