The Russian Federation used drones to strike a train in the Kharkiv region: there were hundreds of passengers, there are dead and wounded

The prosecutor’s office reports that the Russian Federation used three strike drones, previously of the “Geran-2” type.

On the evening of January 27, Russian troops used drones to strike a passenger train on the “Barvinkove – Kharkiv – Chop” route in the Kharkiv region. As a result, five people died, rescuers are looking for four more people.

There were more than 200 people on the train, 18 in the carriage that was hit by the drone.

This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office. According to their data, there were more than 200 passengers on the train.

“According to the investigation, on January 27, near the village of Yazykove, Barvinkovo ​​territorial community, Izyum district, Russian troops attacked a passenger train with the connection “Chop – Kharkiv – Barvinkove”, – the report says.

Two drone hits were recorded near the train. Another strike UAV hit a car, causing a fire there.

Three people died as a result of the attack. A man and a woman also sought medical help.

“As a result of the Russian attack on the UAV, a car and an electric locomotive caught fire. All emergency services are already working on the spot. We are also sending buses to transport passengers”, – said the head of the regional military administration Oleg Synegubov.
