The Prosecutor General’s Office reports that the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine affected more than 1,628 children. This conflict resulted in the death of 504 children and injuries of more than 1,124 children of various degrees of severity.
At the time of the information received as of September 22, 2023, juvenile prosecutors recorded 504 losses among children and more than 1,124 children with various degrees of severity of injuries. The highest level of affected children was registered in the following regions: Donetsk – 487, Kharkiv – 300, Kyiv – 129, Kherson – 124, Zaporizhzhіa – 99, Mykolaiv – 97, Dnipropetrovsk – 96, Chernihiv – 71, and Luhansk – 67.
These statistics are subject to change, as work continues to record numbers in places where hostilities are taking place, as well as in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
