The bodies of nine people who died during the occupation were found in the Kramatorsk district
People died during the temporary occupation of the village by the Russians, prosecutors said.
The bodies of five men and two women, as well as two more people who have not yet been identified, were found in the village of Bogorodichne, Donetsk region, liberated from Russian occupation.
On May 23, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported: “Prosecutors, together with police investigators, discovered the bodies of five men and two women, who were 60 to 72 years old at the time of their death, during an inspection of the area in the village of Bogorodichne, Kramatorsk District, liberated from the occupiers. The identities of two more dead people are being established.”
All these people died during the temporary occupation of the village by the armed forces of the Russian Federation, the department noted. The bodies were sent for forensic examination. Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the deaths, looking for witnesses and eyewitnesses. “A pre-trial investigation into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is ongoing,” added the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Houses in Avdiivka are collapsing like cards, people are dying under the rubble
Avdiivka is under Russian shelling every day. The head of the Avdiivka military administration, Vitaliy Barabasha, tells about it.
On May 25, Avdiivka, I am in the ruins of a 5-story building and a 9-story building. Two people remained under the rubble, they had definitely died. This is a woman, a 58-year-old local teacher, and a 30-year-old man, Barabash proved.
More than 25 houses in the city have already been destroyed, he emphasized, and urged people to evacuate: “Unfortunately, this does not encourage residents to evacuate. Even if a person survives under such rubble, there is no special equipment to dismantle the rubble. The emergency services fighters will not reach here 20-25 kilometers before cities under shelling. This is not real. People, if they survive such strikes, they will be buried alive, if that does not sound unfortunate.”
The troops of the Russian Federation bombed the dam of the Karliv Reservoir – the nearest villages are at risk of flooding
The Russians destroyed the dam of the Karliv reservoir – the villages of Halytsynivka, Zhelanne-1 and Zhelanne-2 were at risk of flooding.
The Russian army struck precisely at the dam, ignoring the fact that civilians would be the first to suffer from these actions.
“We were ready for such a development of events, and that’s why operational and rescue services of Donetsk region have already started to act according to a clearly defined algorithm,” said the head of the regional military administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko. — Communities located in the zone of possible flooding have been warned. If necessary, the evacuation of the civilian population will be started.”
A headquarters was created to deal with the consequences of this emergency situation.

Russians rob apartments, pensioners sweep the streets – the head of the military administration on life in Severodonetsk
In Severodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast, occupied by Russian troops, living conditions can be described as “cave age”, said the head of the military-civilian administration of Severodonetsk, Oleksandr Stryuk.
“There is no increased activity of Russians in Severodonetsk, at least no such information was received from residents. At the same time, to say that the military has left Severodonetsk, the special services have left – no, they are all in place. They try to demonstrate a peaceful life, bring some non-political entities, continue to break the remaining apartments under the guise of repairing windows. In principle, the occupation authorities continue to demonstrate apparent prosperity. Severodonetsk practically died out. From the information that comes in, this is a ghost town,” said Stryuk about the situation in the city.
According to him, “workers” are noticed on the streets rummaging through the apartments of locals and “doing some work.”
“Some pensioners were organized into teams that sweep the streets. At the same time, the city is practically empty. More or less people appear around the market when it’s market day and trading is going on. And so, in principle, the city is in a depressing state. During the capture of the city, several blocks in the new districts survived, there are more or less whole apartments and some kind of life.
But you have to understand that the water is hourly, the sewage does not work because it is destroyed, and it all flows by gravity into Siverskyi Donets. Above the second floor, the water does not rise, because there is not enough capacity for its pressure, pumping, and the collector is damaged, there are losses. Living conditions are cave-age,” said Oleksandr Stryuk.
