The Russians attacked Zaporizhzhia: they hit infrastructure facilities

On March 21, Russian troops shelled the Zaporizhzhia region and the positions of Ukrainian defenders 89 times, using tank weapons, rocket and barrel artillery along the entire front line.

20 settlements came under enemy fire: Zaporizhzhia, Novoivanivka, Charivne, Kamianske, Gulyaipole, Novodanilivka, Gulyaipilske, Novoandriivka, Chervone, Olgivske, Orihiv, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Preobrazhenka, Biloghirya, Shcherbaki, Primorske, Stepove , Mali Shcherbaki, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reports.

“We received 14 reports about the destruction of houses (apartments) of citizens and infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by Russian military personnel,” the message reads.

It should be noted that the authorities of the Zaporizhzhia region are considering the possibility of forced evacuation of families with children from front-line settlements in the event of a significant increase in shelling. During the day of March 21, the population was not evacuated.

At least 18 people were injured as a result of the Russian missile attack on Zaporizhzhia. Anatoliy Kurtev, secretary of Zaporizhzhya City Council, reported this.

He specified that two nine-story buildings with peaceful citizens came under fire. Currently, 25 victims are known, including two children aged 7 and 9.

At the same time, 11 victims were hospitalized. Four of them are in serious condition, seven are in moderate condition.

Information about the scale of the destruction is still being clarified. Appropriate services are available on site.

As of 2:03 p.m., one person has died and 25 are hospitalized, city council secretary Anatoly Kurtev said.

“3 people are in serious condition, 19 are in average condition, 3 are in mild condition (two of them are children),” he said.

The number of victims of rocket strikes is increasing as search operations continue. Towards the evening, the number of victims increased to 34.

A gas leak was detected in one of the high-rise buildings in Zaporizhzhia. The house was damaged during Russian shelling.

Currently, they are waiting for specialists who will be able to solve this problem.
