The Russian military plans to detonate 20 tons of its ammunition in a village in the Kherson region

Local Telegram channels write that the Russian military is planning to detonate 20 tons of its ammunition in the urban-type village of Rykove, Heniche district, Kherson region. According to local residents, the Russians ordered people to evacuate the settlement. As Natalya Humenyuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, reported, such operations are planned by the Russians from time to time and used as blackmail of the local population: “Here it is absolutely possible that they can, by intimidating the locals in this way, free up the territory for basing their units.

They can also relocate the local population to the location they need — where they can cover themselves with them as a human shield. Having convinced them that it is dangerous to stay here, and it is necessary to move to a specific other place of deployment, they then deploy their control post or personnel concentration point there, and they can already afford to be there more calmly, understanding that according to the civilians of the Defense Forces will not work And the fact that they try to blackmail people and intimidate them in this way is another way of trying to control the population, which has long been disloyal to the “Russian world”.

Humenyuk also commented on the information that the Russians are also trying to bribe Ukrainians — residents of Kherson and the region receive SMS with the offer to exchange information about the Armed Forces for monetary payments. Such a mailing was repeated, there was already a similar one in the spring. “Absolutely clear panic and hopelessness. They resort to such psychological operations precisely when there is nothing to argue in front of their leadership in a real combat encounter, on a real battlefield, and they try to get information in this way.

This once again confirms that there are fewer and fewer people loyal to the “Russian world” in the temporarily occupied territory every day,” says the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine.

River mines were carried to the shores of Odesa and Mykolaiv regions

Due to the detonation of the Kakhovskaya HPP, the river mines that had washed up on the coast of the southern regions were destroyed. Explosive objects threaten the coastline.

This was reported by the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine Natalya Humenyuk.

Nine mines landed on the shores of Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. Some of the mines were destroyed in a controlled manner, but some mines detonated uncontrollably.

“Many piles of garbage, such islands, in fact, still circulate on different surfaces of the water area and can be located, including in the water column. That is why we are talking about the fact that now the mine danger of the coast has increased many times”, Nataliya Humenyuk noted.

Fortunately, there were no casualties. However, local authorities are taking measures to limit people’s access to the beaches and not expose them to danger.

In addition to garbage and dirt, explosive objects are brought to the Black Sea coast after the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP. On June 10, a sea mine washed ashore in Odesa region.
